Bunk · Table · Crew

The Crew Manifest

Your guide to the wedding weekend, individualized for you: where you sleep, where you sit for Saturday dinner, and the crew you're on. Room names link to the glossary; crews link to their descriptions; the ranch map shows where everything is.

PSA: keep your door (or tent zip) closed 🐍

The desert is home to snakes (including rattlesnakes), mice, ants, and other critters. You will meet some ants and probably a few other small critters; snakes are much rarer — but either way, don't leave anything an open invitation to move in. Keep doors shut, tents zipped, and don't wander off-path at night without a light — bring a headlamp if you have one.

Find your name

Phone numbers are listed so crews can find each other. The filter matches anything — try your name, a room, or a crew.

Not on the list, or something looks off? Message James — (831) 789-3159. Staying off-ranch at Ojo? See the FAQ — the ranch is your daytime home base.

Pitch In

How to help

The weekend runs on everyone pitching in. Your captain will rally you, but don't wait to be asked. Names link back to the chart, where the phone numbers live.

Not on a crew yet, or want to switch? Message James — (831) 789-3159. Flexible hands are always welcome.

Sauna & cold plunge — for everyone

If you'd like to partake, bring a swimsuit or whatever works for you. We'll ask you to sign a waiver before using the sauna or cold plunge.

Wifi — important

There is no cell service at the ranch, so the WhatsApp group only works once you're on wifi. Networks are per-building — connect to the one nearest you:

Say a Few Words

Speech guidance

Speeches happen at Saturday lunch and Saturday dinner. Three formats to pick from:

Getting There

Travel

Two main options for flying in. Plenty of parking is available at the ranch.

Santa Fe · SAF20 min to ranch
Albuquerque · ABQ55 min to ranch

Getting to the ranch

If you're coming just for the weekend and staying at the ranch, we recommend Uber over renting a car. The ranch is about 20 minutes from Santa Fe, and we'll have food and essentials covered, so you shouldn't need your own vehicle. If you're staying off-ranch (Ojo Santa Fe) or adding days in the area, a rental is more convenient.

Carpools

We've created a Google Sheet for flight details. Please add yours so others can coordinate carpools from the airport.

Good to Know

FAQ

Is there a wedding ceremony?

Yes. A short ceremony happens Saturday at noon in the Dome, followed by champagne and a catered lunch. See the Schedule.

What's the attire?

Relaxed and ranch-appropriate, with one dressier evening. For daytime, comfortable sun-friendly layers — work clothes and boots if you join a planting block. Friday dinner is relaxed, backyard-dinner vibe. Saturday evening (from 6:30 PM) is desert chic, cocktail attire — flowing dresses, linen suits, vintage Western; skip black tie and stilettos. Bring a warm layer; nights drop into the 50s.

What should I pack?

Sleep kit first: accommodations are rustic — charming, historic, built by hand, but this is a working farm, not a hotel. Walls are thin and the ranch wakes early. Depending on your sleep tolerance, bring ear plugs, an eye mask, and your own pillow.

On a cot? (tents, yurt, or an extra cot in a room) Bedding is provided: a foam pad liner, white sheet, wool blanket and a small pillow. A sleeping bag can't hurt if it's not too much hassle to bring.

  • Work boots and a sun hat
  • Work clothes (long sleeves and jeans)
  • Sunscreen and bug spray (bring your own)
  • A warm layer (nights drop into the 50s)
  • An outfit for the sauna and cold plunge (swimsuit or similar)
  • Reusable water bottle
  • A headlamp or flashlight for getting around at night
  • Your desert-chic outfit for Saturday (cocktail attire)
  • Anything else you need to stay comfortable in the desert
Where do we stay?
  • On the ranch: we've booked Synergia Ranch — bedrooms, houses, a yurt, and big safari tents. Assignments are out — find your spot in the Crew Manifest.
  • Off-ranch: Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort is an 18-minute drive; July fills up, so reserve early.
  • Babies: the rustic overnight is tricky, so we suggest leaving little ones at home. Kids welcome by day, with a baby room on the ranch for early evening.
Can I bring kids?

Welcome for daytime and early evening. Rustic accommodations make overnight tricky, so we recommend booking a room at Ojo Santa Fe for the kids. We'll set up a baby room on the ranch during the early-evening festivities so parents can stay on-site through dinner, then head back to Ojo for bedtime. See Stay.

Do I need a rental car?

If you're staying at the ranch for the weekend, no. Uber from the airport is easiest, and we've got food and essentials covered. If you're staying off-ranch or extending your trip, a rental makes sense.

Where am I sleeping? Which table? What crew?

All three are in the Crew Manifest — everyone has an assigned room or tent, a Saturday dinner table, and (for most) a work crew. Type your name in the filter.

Will there be critters?

Yes — this is the high desert. Expect to see ants and other small critters, maybe a mouse — and, much more rarely, snakes (including rattlesnakes). Two rules matter:

  • Keep your room door or tent zipped shut so nothing decides to move in with you.
  • Don't wander into the bush at night without a light — stay on paths after dark.

If you do see a snake, don't approach it — call the ranch line and it will be relocated.

Is there cell service / wifi?

No cell service on the ranch — the group chat only works on wifi, so connect when you arrive. Network names and passwords are under How to help.
